What Is an Amazon 90 Day Review?
An Amazon 90 day review could be a review written after 90 days of testing a product, perhaps shown in a different color or placed higher in the algorithm. A review after three months of use may carry more truth and authority than one written after three days, in Loren Weisman’s view.
- Immediate reviews written after one use may lack transparency or a perseverance of truth.
- An email at day 90 could invite buyers to write an Amazon 90 day review.
- Skipping the $5 gift tag for a quick review may make for a stronger review.
- Reviewers can lead their own reviews by saying how long they have used the product.
- Influencers who test a product for 90 days may have a greater impact than a flashy video.

An Issue With Immediate Reviews
How about a 90 day system from Amazon when it comes to reviews? My name is Loren Weisman, I’m a brand communications and optics strategist. And I have an issue sometimes with those immediate reviews where somebody gets some kind of product from Amazon and then whether it be the product or Amazon even pushing.
What did you think of this three days later? I don’t know. Maybe I’ve only tried it once, maybe I’ve only used it once. Some of this stuff doesn’t have a transparency or a perseverance of truth.
An Idea for a 90 Day Review System
Now my thing, and I doubt, I don’t know that this would ever happen, is for Amazon to flip the switch to continue doing the reviews the way that you do your reviews. But perhaps having a different set of reviews, maybe they show up in a different color, maybe they even bounce up a little higher in the Amazon algorithm to showcase this is someone that had the product for 90 days.
Maybe an email is sent out at day 90 stating you’ve had this product for 90 days. Would you like to do an Amazon 90 day review in that someone has had 90 days or 3 months to test something, to try something, to experience it up, down, ebb, flow this way, that way.
That to me in deciding on something might make it that much better of a review or that much more authoritative of a review. And if we can’t have that, perhaps when you review something, maybe you can bring it, even if Amazon is not necessarily going to bring it, to the forefront, to maybe put a little reminder, do you want to be that stronger reviewer? Do you want to showcase a greater authority?
Three Months Instead of Three Days
Maybe bypass the little $5 gift tag if you review this right now or Amazon reminding you, oh, you need to review this right now, you’ve only had it three days or a week, but maybe just that little, that little mention in the calendar and this also potentially for influencers to 90 days out to say here’s my experience of this product with the last, in the last three months.
How much different is that than someone saying incredible, five stars, love it, it’s the best ever. You need this to a genuine, authoritative, patient review that showcases you as an individual who’s genuinely, truthfully and authentically tested a product, took it for a spin around the block, not for five minutes but for three months.
Leading Your Own Reviews With Time
So maybe it’s not an Amazon 90 day review system. Maybe that doesn’t happen for a while or doesn’t happen at all, but you putting in there going, you know, even, maybe even lead with them.
This is a 90 day review of this. I received this product at this point. This is 90 days out, or I’ve been using this product for six months or I’ve been using it for this amount of time.
Bring a new level of authenticity, bring a new level of truth to the products that you have. They may help your reviews stand out. And maybe you’re doing video reviews of things, maybe you’re an influencer.
Influencers and 90 Day Reviews
You may have that much greater of an impact of not some exciting video with all sorts of graphics and cool backgrounds and well lit angles of the product. To taking it a step further, where you’ve had a product experience, where you as the influencer have tested this thing, vetted it, took the time, and then you genuinely, with your reputation at stake, can state what you feel after 90 plus days.
So whether Amazon ever gets to the point of a 90 day, or maybe you just lead your reviews as I’ve experienced this for 90 days. Something to consider.

Questions and Answers
Why do immediate Amazon reviews miss the mark?
Immediate reviews can come after only one try or one use, when a buyer may not know yet what they think. Some of those reviews may not have a transparency or a perseverance of truth.
Does Amazon have a 90 day review system?
An Amazon 90 day review system is an idea put forward in this video, and it may never happen. Reviewers can still lead their own reviews with the time they have had a product.
How can you write a more trustworthy product review?
Leading a review with how long you have had the product, such as 90 days or six months, can bring a new level of authenticity. A patient review after real testing may help a review stand out, as Loren Weisman sees it.
How could a 90 day review help influencers?
An influencer who tests and vets a product for 90 days can share what they feel with their reputation at stake. That may carry a greater impact than an exciting video with cool backgrounds and well lit angles.
What is wrong with reviewing a product right away for a reward?
A review written right away for a $5 gift tag may come after only three days or a week with the product. Waiting until you have tested it may make the review that much more authoritative.
