AI Usage Statement for LorenWeisman.com

AI Usage Statement

Effective August 20, 2026. Last updated August 20, 2026.

This page states how artificial intelligence is and is not used in the work of Loren Weisman and on lorenweisman.com. It is here so that anyone reading, listening, hiring, or citing this work can see the position in plain terms rather than guess at it.

The Position

The position has been on the record and public since the Artificial Intelligence Statement episode of the Wait What Really OK podcast. In that episode the statement is given directly:

We will not, we have not and we are not creating any kind of content using artificial intelligence. We research information and we may use aspects of AI research to find different stories, different articles, but also at the same time who wrote them, when they were written, where they came from, all of that.

What Is Not Generated by AI

  • The articles, the pages, and the written copy on this website.
  • The bio, the credits, and the background information.
  • The quotes attributed to Loren Weisman, here and anywhere else.
  • The podcast episodes and what is said in them.
  • The talks, the keynotes, and the material prepared for a client engagement.

Where AI Tools Are Used

The position is not opposition to the technology. As stated in the same episode, artificial intelligence used in a responsible, accountable, and transparent way can be a tool for people who bring the experience and the authority themselves. Where tools are used here, they are used for the mechanical parts of production and not for the substance:

  • Research assistance to locate stories, articles, and sources, followed by checking who wrote a source, when it was written, and where it came from.
  • Grammar checking, proofreading, and consistency passes on text that was already written.
  • Audio cleanup in podcast production, such as reducing noise and pops.
  • Accessibility, formatting, and search optimization tasks.
  • Transcription of recorded audio, reviewed against the recording.

A tool that checks spelling does not write the argument. A tool that finds an article does not decide whether the article is credible. Those decisions stay with the person whose name is on the work.

Disclosure

If AI generated written or visual content is ever published on this website, it will be disclosed on the page where it appears. Nothing here is presented as human authored when it is not.

Reservation of Rights for Training

The use of any content from this website to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models is not authorized without prior written permission. This is an express reservation of rights, including any reservation available under applicable text and data mining law. It covers the written pages, the podcast audio, the transcriptions, the images, and the video.

Permission requests go to speaking@lorenweisman.com.

Why This Page Exists

Anyone can claim experience. Fewer will put in writing where their words come from. This statement is published so that the claim can be checked, and so that a reader, a client, a journalist, or an event organizer has something specific to hold the work against.
