How Could a 90 Day Amazon Review System Work?

An Amazon review system built around 90 days could ask for a review 90 days after the delivery point, instead of right away. Reviews from people who had a product for 90 days may show more truth and transparency, in Loren Weisman’s view.

  • Some Amazon reviews may not read as true, especially when they come from quick review requests.
  • Cards offering $5 or extra points for a quick review may not bring a true picture of a product.
  • A review written 90 days after delivery could be pushed higher in the listing.
  • The idea centers on a 90 day review window, which may be a different thing from a return policy.

An Idea for Amazon Reviews

I’d love to see an Amazon 90 day review system. Not some 90 day guarantee, but a 90 day review system. My name is Loren Weisman. I’m a brand communications and optics strategist and oftentimes when I see some of those Amazon reviews they kind of dig in as if not so true.

People being sent little cards saying oh, just review this really quick and you’ll get $5 or you get these extra points. You get this and you don’t necessarily get an honest review of what that product is.

From Delivery Point Plus 90

I propose to Amazon let’s do a 90 day system, have a thing and it would pop those reviews up even higher. Somebody had this product for 90 days. This was their feeling from the moment from delivery point plus 90.

That’s when the review comes. As a reminder, how much better would the reviews, the honesty and the transparency currency be if we could see a 90 day out review of a product on Amazon.

Questions and Answers

Why can quick Amazon reviews be unreliable?

Quick Amazon reviews can be unreliable when buyers are sent cards offering $5 or extra points to review right away. A review written that fast may not give a true picture of the product.

How would a 90 day Amazon review system work?

A 90 day review system could ask for the review from the delivery point plus 90 days. Those reviews could then be pushed up higher, so shoppers may see how someone felt after living with the product, as Loren Weisman sees it.

What could a 90 day review add to Amazon product reviews?

A 90 day review could add more truth and transparency to Amazon product reviews. Seeing how a product held up after 90 days may help shoppers more than a review written on day one.
