Are Fiverr Services Good Enough for Your Brand?

Fiverr services can be helpful for some things, but they might not be the right place for logos and the foundation of your brand, in Loren Weisman’s view. Many $5, $10 and $20 services can be templated work that cuts corners and is not held accountable, which can leave you with a substandard product.

  • Fiverr can be helpful for some things, though very cheap services can rely on templates and cut corners.
  • Many low cost sellers may put something together, make a couple of quick bucks and take off without being held accountable.
  • Logos can be where many substandard results from very cheap services show up.
  • If you do not have the money to do it the right way, waiting may be wiser than cutting corners.

Fiverr Around and Find Out

With that trending hashtag #FAFO (F$&! Around Find out) for today’s short, I call it Fiverr Around. Find Out. My name is Loren Weisman.

I’m a brand, communications and optics strategist. And I ask you if you’re playing around with anything on Fiverr, realize it might not be the best place to get certain quality elements that you’re looking for.

Cutting Corners for a Few Bucks

Now, Fiverr can be helpful, and there’s some stuff where it’s really great, but at the same time, if you’re getting something for 5 bucks, 10 bucks, 20 bucks, crowdfunding shares, logos especially, and many of these other services, it’s cutting corners. It’s template things.

It’s elements that people can put together, pop out, make a couple quick bucks, and take off. They don’t care, they’re not held accountable, and they’re leaving you with a substandard service, a substandard product, a substandard graphic, and especially a lot of those substandard logos.

Waiting Until You Can Do It the Right Way

So Fiverr around and find out. Be careful if you’re looking in that direction. Sometimes if you don’t have the money to do it the right way, you might want to wait as opposed to trying to cut corners and using Fiverr as an option to build things for your brand, your base, and the elements of your communication and messaging foundation that should be a little bit more solid than a $5 service website.

Questions and Answers

Is Fiverr good for designing a logo?

Fiverr might not be the right place for a logo. Many low priced logos can be templated work put together quickly by sellers who are not held accountable, which can leave a brand with a substandard graphic.

What are the risks of cheap branding services?

Cheap branding services can cut corners, use templates and come from people who make a couple of quick bucks and take off. The result may be a substandard service, product or graphic for parts of your brand that are meant to be more solid.

Is it wiser to wait than to buy cheap brand work?

Waiting can be wiser than cutting corners if you do not have the money to do it the right way. Your brand, your base and your communication and messaging foundation could be more solid than a $5 service, as Loren Weisman sees it.
