Services from Loren Weisman

Brand communications and optics services from Loren Weisman. The work is an honorable, transparent, moral and solid foundation under your message, your optics and your presence. Built with you, and built to hold well after we are done working together.

I believe in discovery and blueprinting before building. Messaging before marketing. Engaging before selling.

To me, clear, honest and uniform messaging and optics, with stability and security, are the bedrock of any presence, online or off, and that is what I prefer to create with clients.

Perhaps you have been overwhelmed by a large number of fake, hype driven counselors, strategists, consultants and coaches that claim to have all the answers, or have not helped you move beyond the pretty look, with no consideration for the blueprint, the foundation and the long term strategies. Or perhaps you are at the beginning and have realized you cannot do it all by yourself. Either way, this is a place where we can start together if it is a good fit. I can serve as a steward and help to guide, assist, teach and train, if it is the right fit for both of us.

Where do most engagements start?

With a discovery and reset session. Maybe that is all you need, or maybe it opens us to other elements. You bring what you have been told, quoted, pitched or handed, and what you were thinking before anyone told you anything. From outside the sale, I can share my review of it: what I believe holds up, what I believe does not, and what may be missing. I will share why I feel that way and where I get my information from, differentiating opinions from fact and the subjective from the objective. The seven primary service options, what you can walk away with if you commit to the work, and the full menu follow below.

Where Did What You Believe Come From?

Whether you arrive overwhelmed or at the beginning, the first question is the same. Where did what you believe about this come from? Your own thinking and your own experience, or something you heard from someone who had a reason to say it? To me, sorting those two apart is where authenticity starts, and it is where a discovery and reset session starts.

How I Work, and Who I Work With

I work with people who are prepared to be honest, transparent, true and moral. That is how I work, and those are the only people I work with. That is the filter, and it runs both ways.

The first session is where we find that out about each other. You are vetting me as much as I am vetting you. You can check my record before we speak, and you should. I will ask where your ideas came from, what you have been told, and what you are prepared to do yourself. We can decide at the end if we should move forward or not. The lines I will not cross are written out on the working with me page, and every red flag listed further down this page applies to me first.

Service Offerings and Options

from Brand Communications and Optics Strategist Loren Weisman

I am not trying to win you over. I want you to win, and win the right way. A discovery and reset session is me sharing what I see in what you have been handed, not telling you what to do with it. The decisions stay yours.

Start Here: The Discovery and Reset Session

A discovery and reset session, or a series of them, is where I look with you at what you are being told by others, and at what you were thinking before they told you.

You are getting advice. From an agency, a consultant, a marketing hire, a designer, a publisher, a partner, a platform, a course, a friend who read something. Some of it is sound. Some of it is a template with your name dropped into it. Some of it is being sold to you by the person who benefits from you buying it.

What Happens in a Discovery and Reset Session

  • You bring what you have been told, quoted, pitched, or handed. Proposals, plans, decks, contracts, messaging drafts, marketing recommendations, budgets.
  • I review it from outside the sale, with no stake in what you buy next.
  • I share what I believe holds up, and why.
  • I share what I believe does not, along with what may be missing, what may be assumed, and what you may be paying for that you already have.
  • The aim is that you leave with your own questions to take back to whoever gave you the advice.

Who It Is For

  • Anyone about to sign, hire, or spend on the strength of someone else’s recommendation.
  • Anyone who has been handed a plan they cannot fully evaluate and does not want to nod along.
  • Anyone who has been burned once and would rather check first this time.
  • Anyone at the start, with their own ideas and no one yet to check them against, who wants a review before the first hire.

What It Is Not

It is not a pitch to replace the people advising you. Some sessions end with my view that the advice you are getting is sound, and that is a useful outcome. It is not legal, financial, or accounting advice. For those, use a licensed professional in your jurisdiction. It is one more set of eyes, from outside the transaction, before you commit.

Formats

  • A single session.
  • A short series, where each session takes a different piece.
  • An ongoing check in, where things get run past a second opinion before they go out.

Before You Hire Anyone, Including Me: The Red Flags

Look at the way this page is laid out. What the work is. Who it is for. What you can walk away with. What it costs to find out. What is in writing before anything starts. And what can be checked about me from outside this site. Ask that of every counselor, strategist, consultant and coach you are talking to. If they cannot answer in plain words, that is your answer.

These are the flags I have written and talked about over the years. Each one links to the piece, so you can use them without ever contacting me.

You can stand out by being checkable, and you can protect yourself by checking. Both are yours to do whether or not we ever work together.

Complete layouts for building, financing or pre marketing stages.

Businesses. Discovery, messaging, compliance checks, liability reviews and crisis prep. Across all seven options.

Entrepreneurs. From scratch brand concepts, blueprints for building and pre marketing stages, and the discovery and reset session before you sign with anyone. Options 1 and 5.

Investors choosing an investment. Due diligence discoveries, negative sweeps, and a review of the pitch you are being given, from outside the deal. Option 1 and the discovery menu.

People seeking investment. Prospectuses, business plans, and initial investor and partnering layouts. Option 2 and the architecture menu.

What You Can Walk Away With, If You Commit to the Work

Every engagement is set out in writing before it starts: a statement of work we build together, a strategic services agreement, and clear invoices that say what was done and what it cost. Samples are on the strategy and consulting documents page. The work runs as a single session, a limited run of sessions, or an ongoing arrangement, and the time frames are listed below. What you leave with depends on which of the seven options the work sits in, and on what you put into it. It is more than me. I can lay it out, share what I see and build it with you. The commitment to carry it is yours.

  • From a discovery and reset session: my review of what you were handed, from outside the sale. What I believe holds up, what I believe does not, what may be missing, and what you may be paying for that you already have. Your own questions to take back to whoever gave you the advice.
  • From discovery and blueprint work: a written blueprint and an action plan for forward motion, built for you, not downloaded and relabeled.
  • From messaging work: the messaging plan or the audit, and where the work is the copy itself, the description, the bio, the pitch and the one sheet, aligned and saying the same thing.
  • From plans and budgets: the plan and the budget for the book, the record, the film, the artist, the restaurant or the investor conversation, on paper and in order.
  • From crisis and optics work: the story aligned, defined or refined, and the response prepared before it is needed.
  • From every one of them: the ideas and the documents are yours. No rights and no ownership are taken on your work. The execution and the follow through after we are done are also yours. I do not hold your hand and I do not spend the time on motivation.

Speaking

Options for having Loren Weisman speak at an event, conference or convention are decided with each client individually. More on the speaking page.

Talks on These Subjects

Most of the services above have also been the subject of a talk given to a room. Same material, presented rather than consulted on. They are listed here because a subject someone will stand up and defend in front of an audience is a different thing from a service listed on a page.

Booking details, formats and travel are on the speaking page, and the speaker one sheet is there for event organizers.

Time Frames

  • Hourly meetings, online, by phone or in person, available in one to five session packages
  • Weekly meetings, online, by phone or in person
  • Blocks of time by the hour, the week or the month
  • Retainer
  • Full extended projects

Pricing and Fees

Pricing starts with a conversation. Where you stand, what you have, what you need, what is missing, and what the work requires. A quote that arrives before that conversation is a quote for somebody else’s project.

Documentation

Engagements are set out in writing. The terms covering supply, delivery and returns are on the Conditions of Supply page, and the site terms are on the Terms and Conditions page. Before anything confidential is shared in either direction there is a mutual non-disclosure agreement, If you are in a position to refer consulting clients, that is covered by the consulting referral agreement. Every agreement, term and policy sits together on the agreements, terms and policies page. Sample strategy and consulting documents are outlined in strategy and consulting documents.

Getting Started

The first step is a conversation, not a contract. Bring what you have been told and what you are weighing. From there we can both see whether a single discovery and reset session covers it, whether a series makes more sense, or whether what you need is something other than what is listed here.

As of August 2026 I am back at work and taking on new engagements, in person or virtually.

Start the conversation.
