Stewarding Strategic Quote Blueprinting your messaging and optics

A brief overview with a series of ideas to strategically and effectively message quotes across the internet and on your websites.

This walk through considers the quote itself, then the image associated with the quote as well as the distribution of it. lastly, a few additional measures to reinforce the quote.

And Consider staying away from going quote crazy.

One a week can allow for a simmer and build, and over trying to spam out with too many quotes, all too often.

An image of a buildings frame being built with a blue sky on the top and a Loren Weisman quote in white letters that reads Authentic Instruction is not always comforting or comfortable. A small FSG logo in a faded watermark is on the bottom left side of the image.
Authentic Instruction is not always comforting or comfortable.

The Quote first: Strategic Quotes Blueprinting for the words

    1. Create the quote.
    2. Check to see if that quote has been said by someone else before you. Many people may come up with the same words, even the same quote, but if it is already credited and established, it is not yours from a strategic or professional sense.Alter the words to create a quote that can not be credited to others.Consider running the quote through a plagiarism checker.Sites like Grammarly and QueText can be two good resources to check. As you look online, consider searching on Google, Duck Duck Go, and Yahoo.

Just cause you thought it up doesn’t mean it wasn’t said before by someone else, much earlier that you did.

To get a better sense, consider using the incognito or private windows in those searches and look at the image, video and news results too. Also, have a look to see if that quote is on GoodReads and BrainyQuote.
Extra credit of sorts: See if the first four or five words that begin the quote, or somewhere inside the quote can be authored/ framed in something that can make it the primary keyword phrase for the quote. Again, check to see the results there, that is not plagiarism if you find other exact phrases, but shifting away from a very popular phrase can give you more chance of taking over that search result.
      3. Save the quote for a collection. Save the quote somewhere to be able to reference back to and use in bulk at another time. It is a lot easier that trying to dig through different blogs and websites. You can see an example blog here of a collection of quotes Brand Messaging Strategist Quotes Blog.

More Extra credit: By making it over 900 words (The collection), and correctly laid out, it can serve as cornerstone content which is viewed as stronger than just a normal blog. Between 900 and 1000 words though, don’t get carried away.

Some Extra Extra Credit… Track on a spreadsheet, where that quote has been used or shared either by itself or in a collection.

Image: Strategic Quote Blueprinting for graphics

    1. Use an image that is yours. One you took. Please do not use other pictures, even if they are free. Enough people do and it does not allow the quotes to stand out. It is fine to use sites like Canva to get a layout and basic design, but just as you enter your quote, make it show up on top of your picture.
    2. Make the quote legible on the picture. From font to font size to the color of the quote, can it be easily read.
    3. Keep your name present but not arrogant and not oversized. Allow the quote to speak for itself as a statement of authority, over screaming who said it. it is about getting the credit, but put the focus on the credentials of your words.
    4. Keeping a watermark, a couple core fonts or some kind of theme can also help with the uniformity and continuity of your quotes.
    5. And if you have an office or location of the image… add the Geotag to the image too and consider using a site like GeoImgr to help do that.

Extra Credit for sizings.  Here are the optimal post sizes. With Canva, you can take a quote image you have built and alter it to fit these different sizes.

For each quote and for the continuity, use the same image, the same fonts and the same adjustments on the photo, just shift things for the size if you want to do a series of the different size variations.

You don’t have to do this every time, but every so often, it is a good idea.

“If the story you are sharing is not yours, it is just another story that more than likely has already been shared may times.”

Content Planning: Stewarding Strategic Quote Blueprinting for  placement.

In the preparation of the quote. When there is room, see how you can introduce the quote so the start of your post in not starting in quotations.

Think of three primary hashtags for most sites. Do not go hashtag crazy.

Write out a simple description of the quote for the alt tag. This is where you describe the image with the quote to someone that is blind. This would also include the quote itself. So a description of the background and then writing along the lines of “and text that reads… (add the quote here).

If it is a little long for sites like Twitter, be sure to add the beginning of it in the content you share.

As you add the image to your website be sure to fill in the description of the image, the title of the image and the alt tag as mentioned above of the image to give the image itself as much juice as possible.

This archives tag and the location on a blog will give the quote its home anchor of sorts. You can use it again in other places, but on the main page where it is used.

    1. Add the photo and have it correctly filled out as above. 2. Add a break quote with the quote in the blog or on the page. 3. Reinforce the quote by adding it to a pull quote for the page if it is available. 4. Add the primary keyword phrase for that quote to the keywords or tags for the blog. 5. Create the archives tag page off that blog for that keyword where you can add the image, the quote and information about it again. Seen in example above. 6. Prepare the hashtags, from the top three you will use on primary sites to the up to 30 you can use on Instagram.

“To me, artificial Intelligence like ChatGPT used by those with wisdom, knowledge and experience can authentically enhance the distribution of intelligence and information in a positive way. Though when used by deceptive, unexperienced and greedy fools… it can be a dangerous tool.” – Loren Weisman

Having a simple text file for each quote that has:  1. The primary keyword phrase 2. The Quote 3. The Alt Tag Description 4. The core hashtags and the extended hashtags. 5. The link to the archives tag for the quote. 6. The link to the page the quote is on. 7. The link to the GoodReads Post.

(This is usually one of the first place to post the text quote and can be used as the reference point for IMDb as well as a point back for Google Business, Pinterest and other pages) …Can make posting and distribution a lot easier.

Then you are good to go to distribution.

    Distribution:

Stewarding Strategic Quotes Blueprinting for the Posting.

Core places to post. You might even find in searches other places where you can do free submissions.

Do not get too caught up in trying to get the quotes everywhere, but on some days, if you have a little extra time, have a search and add a new quote in a few new places.

After you anchor the image on a website page and an archives tag as discussed in the last section, consider first…

Strategic Quote Blueprinting for Messaging and Optics Additional Reinforcement:

Consider over time, and not all at once…

    1. Creating a blog where the primary keyword phrase (that 4 word lead from the quote) is the anchor of the blog and the blog is expanding on the quote. To stay in certain SEO lines, make the Blog title that primary phrase and the rest of the quote up to sixty character. Do not do the whole long tail title to try to capture the quote.

    2. Do the same thing for a video…

    3. Then the same down the line for a podcast. 4. And consider adding that quote to a press release too.

Side note 1: A real press release that is distributed through a channel like Send2Press and not one of those fly by night hype sites claiming they will send to all sorts of media. Choose a service that releases professionally to the press over spamming some media contacts.

Side note 2: Anytime you put out a professional press release, try to get two quotes in per release. A release that is correctly put out across authority news channels and wires will bring up the authority of those quotes.

Using this detailed format may in the end help to secure and optimize your quotes more than just posting them and not taking the time to reinforce them.

This approach can also optimize these quotes so when your quote is searched… and if it is your quote, that it will show up in a series of different results and on a series of different sites.

Tactics to consider for a compliant messaging presence online

This is the shortened title for a messaging and optics speaker full talk title called:

“15 Tactics to consider for a Compliant & Stable Brand Presence Online”

Brand Communications and Optics Strategist Loren Weisman asks audiences to…

Consider each of these elements and apply them, in order to enhance and reinforce: authentic online presence, reduce online penalties and build up the foundational authority for you, your brand, your messaging, your earned media and your story.

If you choose to take a look at these elements below, consider the difference between the objective and the subjective.

Many are out there saying what you need to do, what you should do, what you have to do and what you must do…

Still all too often, many of these methods have no legitimate, objective proof.

A first step to understanding the messaging that will work best for you comes down to the differentiation of the opinions and the facts.

And just because you have not been caught or penalized yet for doing something wrong, illegal or non compliant, does not mean that time is not coming.

A quote graphic of cloudy sky in the background with a black triangle in the upper right corner of the picture and a tree top on the lower right corner. In the center is a blue circle with and FSG logo watermark and a quote in white text that is credited to Loren Weisman in a small font on the bottom and in the center reads, “Stop settling for, subscribing to and becoming enticed by stupid. I believe most are smarter than that. Yet many allow themselves to continually get sucked into it.”
“Stop settling for, subscribing to and becoming enticed by stupid. I believe most are smarter than that. Yet many allow themselves to continually get sucked into it.”

While it’s easier to fool some one than convince them they have been fooled… Please consider looking deeper for substance over hype. It can make all the difference in your compliance, your message and your authenticity.

It is your decision in how you want to appear.

I am not telling you what to do.

I am sharing some information for you to consider and bring to your blueprint and your foundation.

and at the same time, if these things mean nothing to you, simply do nothing.

But… Just because you have not been caught for doing it yet, does not make what you are doing legal.

    A compliant messaging presence online

In this talk, Loren goes in to more detail about each of the 15 aspects listed below.

The primary takeaways from this talk are rooted in the foundation actions to ensure that an individual or companies website, social media as well as other offline messaging and branding is compliant, uniform, clear and consistent.

    5.    Removing the objective claims
    6.    Generating FAQS for Optimization
    7.    Expanding your page presence
    8.    Unvarying Avatars & Headers
    9.    Vetting the Hype & “Experts”
    10.    Preventing Penalization Planning
    11.    Creating Liability Documentation

Many offer up advice that is often times is either an expired truth, no longer applicable or advice that worked for one person but might not work for all. Each of the tactics in this talk come from objective, substantiated, updated and proven information.

In the end, it is the decision of the individual regarding how compliant they want to be when it comes to these tactics to consider for a compliant brand presence online.

A Presence of Stability and Security and uniformity.

With a sound foundation that is as creative as it is compliant, the long term compounding growth can build in a stronger fashion and allow for many more options.

This over just trying to do everything in the moment and jumping from trend to trend like many self proclaimed business coaches claim you should.

A Compliant messaging presence online. Tactics to consider: Stop Points in your messaging…

Stop trying to be a life coach, a motivational coach or a business coach… Especially if you are not one. Exit the trend jumping.

Avoid using illegal content, pre made content and content that does not showcase you. End buying into the hype that has no foundation under it. Stop claiming humility, but referring to yourself as an expert or a master.

Move away from being sold on the applications of expired facts, half truths, short cuts or false hype Why a quarter of the commitment or following 50% of the instructions  while looking for the  whole 100% results?

Avoid referring, reviewing and giving top notch testimonials about peoples services and products that you do not know about for sure.

Building someone up for a referral that is not deserved can tear your reputation down. Refer like your reputation depends on it.

Many of the mistakes that cause the penalizations often come from doing things that do not feel right and yet many think that they are suppose to due to popularity, hype or hearsay. Consider that if it feels off, false, fake, no you or seemingly untrue… then it just might be.

A quote graphic of a ceiling with wood beams. In upper center is a blue circle with and FSG logo watermark and a quote in white text that is credited to Loren Weisman in a small font on the bottom and in the center reads, “The foundation of your messaging is framed by your words, your story and your actions. “The foundation of your messaging is framed by your words, your story and your actions. Consider making them strong, true, authentic and yours.”

Some other authentic questions and tactics to consider for a compliant messaging presence

    • There is no “Your truth” in Authentic marketing. It is objectively true or it is an opinion.
    • Are you building to engage and connect for the long term or only trying for a viral moment of likes and follows?
    • Sharing only other peoples content and selling? Or are you sharing your story with your authority?
    • With the numbers, claims and marketing you’ve been told to use, do you believe it yourself?
    • Allowing for accountability to play a role in your message for your customers and are you showcasing your accountability for customers.
    • Can some one really become a master or an expert in a 40 hour course or for that matter, a six month one?
    • Do you have the authority to be able to share more of the how and less of the what?
          • So many make the what claims…. fewer can share the how.
    • Would you openly share your methods, your marketing tactics and your promotional approaches with everyone?
          • And if not, are you are hiding unethical, immoral items as well as lies?
          • This comes to the methodology, the tools, the tactics and the content.
          • Are you transparent to share exactly what you use and how you use it?
    • If it can work for anyone, does that really mean it is right for you, your authority and your authenticity?

And those you look for information and intelligence about a compliant messaging presence from…(coaches, consultants, and so on)

Are they only motivating and inspiring or are they sharing intelligence, direction and education?

Along with the intelligence and strategies for you to learn, maintain and sustain your efforts and growth after you are not working with them anymore?

Or are they only marketing with foolish promises, false hype and empty claims?

Speaking Contract For Loren Weisman for Public and Private Speaking

Consider moving away from the conventional acceptable and popular opinions that do not consider you, your authenticity and your brand.

Many of these classes and courses claiming master courses, expert courses and more ego hype, often times, is just filled with that.

And consider there are so many creating tips, tricks, courses, books, videos and more that hold no validity to them whatsoever. Many of them are creating to try to funnel and draw people in. Keep that in mind.

    Defining messaging tactics

Many that are in the process of trying to brand, market and promote seem to want to jump through the messaging and foundation phase very quickly… In most cases… too quickly.

A large number of them seem so focused on the titles over the authenticity, they want to attract with hype over taking the time to develop the tagline, the one liner and the anchoring content that honorably and honestly highlights experience, ability and authority.

And in this rush, the many considerations are not taken in to account. In turn, only leaving these individuals and businesses looking like many others that might not have the ability or looking like the array of many that have no experience or expertise whatsoever and only use hype to hide it.

Defining messaging tactics from intention to perception and in-between.

Quote and text over shaded mountain and sky background An unstable brand and a lack of stable messaging and tactics may end up costing more and in the end allow some of these marketing and promotion companies you hire to make more money off you with a lot less results.

And it is not all of them…

but many that work this way will present a brand and a message that hits only your intention or they may ask the boiler plate style questions that are much more focused on your view of what you have and what you want to have seen.

Then moving it in to a content farm of hype over a sound tactical plan that highlights you, your abilities and your business.

A better approach to consider as you build the foundation of defining messaging tactics may be to look at the… perceptions, comparatives, connotations, competitive, overused, misused, misunderstood, as well as the existing optimization and popular elements of that message that you are shooting for.

A quote graphic of a multi colored wool rug in the background and a blue couch at the top of the image In the center is a blue circle with and FSG logo watermark and a quote in white text that is credited to Loren Weisman in a small font on the bottom and in the center reads “Amplified authentic opinions can be driven with passion while still anchored in respect for those that have a different view.”
“Amplified authentic opinions can be driven with passion while still anchored in respect for those that have a different view.”

With these above pieces not dialed in and a brand, message and the content as well as tactics can result in a rushed to marketing problem where. the costs can increase in only pushing a message of hype over substance.

The trick of hand (or sleight of hand… or problem) is sometimes is that you are given a bio that makes…

you happy from the information you provided, but was presented with a great deal left out of the process.

At the same time, this information can lack the humility, the discovery and the intel of a series of different touch points may leave you with words you like, but possibly words that are not getting across and not being heard by your potential audience.

If the whole story seems to be drenched in online motivation and inspiration with nothing else of substance to it, … it may be time to look elsewhere.

And, there are not a lot of social media marketing pros out there that are going to argue with your intention because many want your work and your money.

Many will move to grow larger marketing campaigns as they focus you on to the likes, shares, follows, comments and the numbers that often times do not count and may not covert.

By defining your messaging tactics with the authenticity and authority of the story you tell on the front side of the brand… to the array of content that you can apply to connect… educate and market yourself with over the long run… it can allow for you to grow that  messaging blueprint with a solid foundation that can compound for you as it reinforces….

your authenticity, authority and presence online and off.

Brand messaging blueprint strategies for creative careers.

A quote graphic of a ceiling with wood beams. “The foundation of your messaging is framed by your words, your story and your actions. Consider making them strong, true, authentic and yours.”

This is why it is much more than someone writing a bio or a LinkedIn profile for you.

It is not just filling out a simple questionnaire where you provided all the answers to work from.

It is why defining your brand messaging blueprint in the most effective way may start with a discovery and audit that looks at the array of all the initial information that come from you.

Then those words, phrases, concepts and ideas are researched against your intentions, other peoples perceptions and a range of touch points to find the right foundation for you and creating content authentically.

In the root of understanding your intention while respecting the perceptions that may be out there, you may be able to hone in the right messaging blueprint for you and your business that helps you share yourself, your product or service with a melody that is heard over the harmony and unison of so many others saying the exact same thing.

This is one of the first steps we feel should be taken and an excerpt from the list of what we like to look at in discovery and the auditing from each brand…

Then moving to how it is tested, searched, checked and run across a series of online reputation searches and touch points that allow the intelligence, strategy and tactics to form the right content and right messaging direction for the specific business.

Defining messaging tactics text on beach that reads Keynote Speaker Quotes from Loren Weisman including If youre saying the same thing as everyone else, then why would and why should anyone think you are different from everyone else?"
“If you are saying the same thing as everyone else, then why would and why should anyone think you are different from everyone else.”

In defining messaging tactics, these are some tactics to consider looking in to for a discovery…

    Consider looking at:

Why they chose the direction or path they are currently.

Location and physical to online desired reach.

Why they feel it is time to change that direction or path.

Offerings, Services and Statements of Work clearly defined.

Who, What, When, Where, Why and How of current content and names.

    Authority and authenticity elements.

Intention vs perception messaging and optics.

Subjective vs objective messaging and optics.

Ego to humility messaging and optics.

Hearsay to history to hype messaging and optics.

Other comparative and competitive businesses and business models.

    Fear to love communication styles.

    Uniformity and cacophony elements.

    Complacent pieces or disregarding elements.

Initial direct and indirect influences to the business.

Direct and indirect comparisons to the business.

    Business boundaries and limits.

Openess to opportunity, change and new directions.

Mission, values, voice, story, wants, needs, and desires.

Negative connotations, crisis management issues, reputation problems.

Descriptors including personal, business, relating and non relating.

Best type of client and customer attributes.

Worst type of client and customer attributes.

and the exit strategy, partnerships, ownership or investment concepts.

With all these ingredients and colors on the palette, it can make it more streamlined to create the right blueprint, with the personalized information to assist in defining the brand, the messaging, the tactics and the story to be as effective and authentic as possible.

And if you find yourself unable to define or find the above, consider asking yourself if you are ready to present yourself as a service or as a product that is ready to bring to the public.

Profit at the expense of no one. A stewarding directive quote to consider from Brand Communications and Optics Strategist, Loren Weisman.Profit at the expense of no one

Profit at the expense of no one?… I think so.

So many teach about how to make money…

how to market, how to sell, how to earn…

And yet, it is a select few that share how to sell with authenticity, authority, transparency and honor.

And even fewer that look to ensure that everyone profits from the sale with no one being hurt, taken advantage of or being used.

Consider the idea and directive of… “Profit at the expense of no one.”

profit at the expense of no one, quote loren weisman
“Profit at the expense of no one.”

Consider the idea, direction and directive of “Profit at the expense of no one.”

Honor those with what you are selling while being honored yourself with the sale.

In the end, and this is not coming with any judgement…

Would you really want to build wealth at the expense of others?

To grow your finances through taking from others without an honorable transaction?

Or would it be better… feel better… and make things better if that sale or transaction was profitable to all?

Yes, there are plenty out there that will show you how to sell and plenty out there that do not care, but does that work for you?

Again, not telling you what to do, but asking you to consider that when you see many of those earn so much, so quickly and so fast models, they are often at the expense of someone in the end.

Building on the concept of ethical business practices and their correlation with profitability, this approach also introduces a powerful perspective on sustainable and honorable business growth. The idea of “Profit at the expense of no one” can align with the growing trend of conscious consumerism and ethical business practices discussed earlier.

Ethical Profit – A win-win approach This philosophy challenges the traditional notion that business success must come at someone else’s expense.

Instead, it promotes a model where all parties involved in a transaction benefit, creating a sustainable cycle of growth and mutual respect.

Honoring the customer and the sale When businesses prioritize honoring their customers while also being honored through the sale, they can create a foundation for a long-term and authentic success.

This approach can build greater trust, loyalty, and positive word of mouth. Those are the elements that hold up over time.

The true cost of unethical profits The rhetorical questions about building wealth at the expense of others highlight an important consideration for modern businesses. While quick profits might seem attractive, they often can come with hidden costs like:

    Damage to brand reputation

    Loss of customer trust

    Potential legal and regulatory issues

Negative impact on employee morale and retention

    to name only a few…

A power in mutually beneficial transactions By focusing on transactions that are profitable for all parties involved, businesses can create a positive ripple effect to include:

Customer satisfaction: When customers feel they’ve received fair value, they’re more likely to return and recommend the business to others.

Employee engagement: Ethical practices seem to translate more and more to better treatment of employees, leading to increased productivity and loyalty.

Investor confidence: Companies known for ethical practices often attract more stable, long-term investors.

Community impact: Businesses that contribute positively to their communities often see returns in the form of local support and positive public relations and earned media.

A call for reflection on the profit at the expense of no one concept

These words can serve as a call for business owners and entrepreneurs to reflect on their practices and motivations.

In an era where information travels fast and consumers are increasingly aware and discerning, the long-term viability of a business often depends on its ethical standing.

By challenging the “earn so much, so quickly and so fast” models that often come at someone else’s expense, consider a more thoughtful, honest and sustainable approach to business growth.

This can align with a growing body of evidence suggesting that ethical businesses can indeed be more profitable in the long run. The trust in transparency can be worth its weight in gold.

In conclusion, this philosophy reinforces the idea that ethical business practices and profitability are not mutually exclusive.

By prioritizing honorable transactions and considering the well-being of all involved in a transaction, businesses may have a better chance at building a foundation for lasting success, positive impact, and sustainable growth in today’s conscientious market.
